frequently asked questions
What is this event?
CBHA’s Run for a Cause | 5K Color is a fun, family-friendly event that activates our community in a celebration of childhood health and wellbeing. We anticipate more than 500 participants to join us during our annual event where runners and walkers of all ages are splashed with paint along the 5K course for a messy, lighthearted experience.
What does it support?
The CBHA Run for a Cause is less about making record time and more about having the time or your life. It’s a family-friendly event where runners, walkers, strollers, and wagons are all welcome. The annual CBHA Run For A Cause event is designed to raise awareness of childhood wellness here in the Columbia Basin. Our goal is to also support families who may have children with special needs and improve education on maintaining wellness for all children.
Where does the money go?
While in-clinic and outreach programs help educate our patients while providing a baseline for knowledge, CBHA’s Run For A Cause event provides a tangible experience that represents real issues facing real children in and around our community. Participants learn about and become more aware of childhood wellness. We are able to reinvest the proceeds in our community in support of these families by applying funds towards our local city parks and blessing families in need. CBHA’s Run For A Cause is an opportunity to bring the people of our community together to enjoy good, wholesome fun with race and post-race lawn activities and food for the entire family.
Who is CBHA?
We are a local solution to local needs. CBHA clinics are the premier provider of full-suite medical services to patients in the Columbia Basin. Columbia Basin Health Association is the premier healthcare provider in the greater Adams, Franklin and Grant counties. In 2018, we served over 35,000 unique patients in our communities and provided more than 172,000 patient encounters.
Anyone is welcome to sponsor our cause with a monetary donation or by providing their services like videography, photography, donating water, volunteering at a first aid station, etc. You could even provide your services AND donate money if you wish!Learn More
